DehI internal duplication and CMD family relationships
A personal research project growing from my time as a structural biologist. It uses structure-guided profile-HMM analysis to investigate DehI evolution, including a possible relationship to compact CMD proteins and the emergence of a buried catalytic site. It sits alongside my methane-modelling work as an independent exploration of a long-standing interest in protein structure and enzyme evolution.
